Service is a nightmare.

Hello there 

I have been having a hard time with Dyson. I am the owner of 5 Dyson products . 2 vacuums and 3 air purifiers , none of them bought cheap. 

 

I rarely used the air purifiers but wanted to use them during the recent fires in California. Two out of the three failed to work because the pump column has failed on both of them.

Both are relatively new items and the filter has been changed only once on them because of how rarely I use them. I called to get them serviced and I was told only one is covered under warranty and the second one is not, but that both parts are out of stock and I will receive an email when they become available within one week or two. I did not. 

3 weeks later I called to follow up and I was told one of the items was in stock and for the second machine I needed to take it to a local store. There is only one store in Southern California and it took me a while to get there. When I got there I was told the unit I brought is out of warranty. I took it back and drove all the way back home and then grabbed the second unit and drove all the way back. Andddd I was told again that this second unit is out of warranty also! 

It turns out I was given the wrong information over the phone and the active warranty that I have is for an HP09 unit that doesn't need fixing and doesn't even use a pump column!  To top this, I got back home only to find that your store kept my power adapter for the purifier and did not give it back to me ( my car dashcam shows me going in with it hooked up to the machine and getting out of the store without it ). I live too far to drive for a 3rd time to the place just for the adapter especially after the way I felt was treated at that store. 

I now have more problems than I had when I reached out to them.
