Air Treatment - High Pitched Buzz / Noise - Help!

Hi All - I purchased a PH04 humidifier/purifier at the beginning of this year, and it has been a huge headache for me. I normally wouldn’t complain but with the amount of money I spent I think I deserve a better result. I am currently on my 4th unit - each one has after 3 developed a relatively loud high pitch buzzing noise, that I think can most accurately be described as comparable to the sound a cicada (more like 1,000 cicadas) makes. I use the purifier as a fan/humidifier overnight night in my bedroom, and the sound occasionally becomes loud enough to wake me up. It is most definitely not normal operation, because the fan makes an acceptable amount of noise for several weeks up to a few months before it starts happening. 2 of the units replaced outright right away, and the third one I sent to the repair center where it was found to be unrepairable and replaced again. While I do appreciate the replacement machines, it seems to me that the problem is widespread if 4 in a row have had

TP04 Software refuses to update.

Hey guys,  just wanted to stop by and share some frustrations im experiencing with my Dyson TP04 air purifier.  Currently the app is refusing to let me use the scheduling facility, nor can I access the filter management function.  The app says that a software update is in progress and I will be able to use the scheduling and other features after it has completed.  Thing is, its not updating, at the unit itself its not showing the update icon, just normal operations and if I go into the settings and turn off auto update it just says ‘update scheduled’ but it never comes, but is connected to the internet as I can control it through the app or alexa.  I have tried resetting the device and removing and readding it to the app and nothing has worked.  I even spoke with Dyson who said they could manually update it at the workshop and so it was collected and sent back there.  It came back with ‘no fault found’ and no manual update had been completed.  Looking around i can see this is not the f

Dyson Purifier - Continuous monitoring issue

I have a Dp04 purifier. I can't get filter management or continuous monitoring to work, I've done all the resets several times it always says when I've reset it that it needs an update it is on auto-update but the software version hasn't changed. I saw a post about communication issues with the servers and updates with the machine. If you could please help me out I'd greatly appreciate it.

DYSON PH04 (Humidifier) with bad smell, even after deep clean/clean filters

Pump problems on Dyson Pure Humidify + Cool PH02 and Pure Humidify + Cool Formaldehyde PH04

Purchased a Dyson PH02 Pure Humidity + Cool in December, 2021. Shortly after, I noticed that the water reservoir wasn’t going down, indicating that the air wasn’t humidifying. After working with multiple Dyson Customer Service techs who appeared not to know what they were doing, they finally agreed for me to get a new replacement model for my defective one. Because Dyson had no PH02 models in stock, they sent me a replacement PH04 Pure Humidifier + Cool Formaldehyde model. Very shortly after getting the replacement, a warning appeared on the Dyson Link App that the pump was no longer working. Then I was told I would have to wait 5 weeks for a new pump because they were out of stock. Told Dyson this was unacceptable as I needed the humidifier before the end of the winter when it would no longer be needed. I am now on my 3rd humidifier and now worrying that I got an expensive “dud” that may be prone to pump problems. I’ve seen similar pump problem comments on the various internet forums.

HP07 running non-stop in Auto mode

I recently got an HP07 and run it in Auto mode. I’ve noticed that it’s always on even with AQ being good. I previously had an HP02, which would stop completely when AQ was good and then start back up as needed. I’m wondering whether this is expected behavior for the HP07, especially given that filter life will likely be shorter with it running continuously vs intermittently.(Edited by moderator – Tags added)

Tower Purifier - Tilt feature

Hello! On the online product manual, there’s a +-10 degree tilt available… I was wondering if the unit actually has a tolt function… the app doesn’t show any option to tilt, just oscillate. Thanks! (Edited by moderator – Tags added)

PH01 Humidity - How to use?

I just purchased my new PH01 Humidity and Air Purifier.  I was thrilled, being a huge Dyson fan but the humidifier doesn't seem to be getting enough humidity out.  I have set at 50 and it has been running full blast for about 8 hours and barely climes a percent.  My old cheapo humidifier would knock it out in an hour or less.  Am I doing something wrong?

We’ve spent £2,400 on heat and cool fans that Dyson can’t source filters for…. Soon they’ll be £600 ornaments if Dyson don’t get their act together. When are the filters going to be available?

HP04 Hot + Cool Standby Power

With current rise in electricity prices, I have bee checking the standby power consumption of devices and found concerning results from my HP04. The spec says that standby power is <0.5W, however mine measures as 20W. This is plugged in with devices switched off, no continuous monitoring active.This is at least 40x the spec and at today's prices means I will pay £60 per year just to have the device plugged in.I am very interested to know what other people measure. (Edited by moderator – Tag added)

I have two TP09's and they show 2 different software versions. Software update is turned on and I did the power off and unplugged for 10 minutes and they both still show 2 different versions. Does that sound right?

My TP09 smells after 2 weeks - Suggestions?

Hi folks,I've got an issue with a new TP09 purchased directly. We've had it on maybe 6/7 hours a day, but yesterday night I noticed a smell in the room.Tonight I noticed the same thing, like a mix between butter that had gone off and mild cheese and onion crisps. I hunted around and finally sniffed the air coming from the fan and that was it. My partner thinks it smells like a plasticky smell, but I think it definitely has a more ‘organic' vibe..Nothing has been spilled on or near the fan. Has anybody else experienced this and is this a known issue with the fan? Can anything be done to fix it?

Heater Purifier - No WIFI symbol

Hi, I just bought Dyson HP04 yesterday and tried to connect it with MyDyson.  I kept failing to do that and it seems that the WIFI symbol never showed up in the HP04 screen.  I tried to press and hold on/off for more than 30 seconds, unplug and plug it, uninstall and install the purifier. Night Mode on HP09

When in heating mode, the night mode on my HP09 heater purifier only dims the display but it’s still very bright in a dark room. When in cooling mode & night mode is on, the display is off completely. Is there a way for night mode to turn machine display off completely when heating mode is on?

MyDyson App is unavailable at the Ukrainian App Store

Hello there!As a Dyson customer from Ukraine, I recently purchased the PH04 and I'm really enjoying it. However, I encountered an issue regarding the unavailability of the MyDyson app for download in Ukraine. It's quite inconvenient as I had to create a new Apple ID just to install the app. Unfortunately, changing my App Store region isn't an option for me at the moment due to connected subscriptions like Apple Music. I'm curious to understand the reason behind these restrictions. Does Dyson have any particular limitations or concerns about users from Ukraine utilizing your equipment?I'm hopeful that the MyDyson app will be made available in the Ukrainian App Store with the next update. Humidifier Question - Water level depleting slowly

So I have had this humidifier(PH04) for around a week... The water seems to be depleting very slowly / not putting much humidity out.  I am I think on day 4 of it running non stop (night mode at night) and it still has about 1/3 of the tank left.My old cheap humidifier that this is replacing the tank wouldn't last 24 hours running on medium and held a bit more water... So this is putting off something like 15% (or less) of the humidity that was... Is that normal or is something wrong?  I expected it to be a bit less because of the filters etc... But this seems like the water would evaporate almost as fast if it was just left sitting out in a container.(Edited by moderator – tags added)

How do I reset the filter life indicator on my Dyson purifier heater HP00?

Can someone please explain the reset procedure for a HP00 fan as none of the instructions seem to be correct. I have just received my machine back from Dyson repair and the filter symbol has gone but I am still non the wiser and I am concerned than when it appears again I’ll have to return it again. Will the Air Purifier remove Detected Mold?

I have recently purchased the Dyson HEPA Purifier TP09 Formaldehyde Purifying Fan.Unfortuantley I have a room that has quite a bit of mold. The purfier that is in the room says that the air in the room is good.Should the purfier be detecting that the room has mold?Or does it only detect the mold when you disturb it (clean it). Be grateful for any advice.Thanks

Purifier - Increase in VOC levels

Hi I have the Dyson in our bedroom and noticed we had very high VOC levels from 10pm onwards until we got up in the morning. We took away a memory foam mattress topper and then for the next few night it was on green. Since then it has spiked in the early hours of the morning around 4am then comes down. What could be causing this? Our room also shows very high humidity which is over 70 every evening. Yesterday we used a dehumidifier and it came down but there was still a spike in the VOC reading. Does the humidity of the room affect it?We also notice that if anyone has a shower or bath the VOC reading will go up is this normal? Thank you Jenny

Purifier Display - Exclamation Point

Looking for tech support for an HP-04 unit.Just purchased from someone who usedit a handful of times. It worked the first day andthen the dreaded 'exclamation point' displayed.Tried the remote power button while turning the uniton for 10 seconds and the night feature as well for 5 seconds.Still no good.

I love my Dyson!

I just acquired a Dyson Purifier Cool Formaldehyde air purifier and I think it has been working wonderfully. :) We painted the house recently and I have definitely experienced an improvement in air quality. Hoping to unite all Dyson air purifier fans!My cat loves it too!
