Dyson’s checklist for a cool homeTIPS - AIR TREATMENT
With our seasonal temperatures set to soar, there is no better time then now to share our top tips for staying cool in the heat. In fact, in a recent Dyson Newsroom post, our Head of Environmental Care shared their own tips on this. These should help you cool the home, while staying cool yourself. Close curtains and shutters Keep the windows, curtains or shutters closed during the day to minimize the amount of sunlight entering the home. Night-time is when summer temperatures tend to dip, so make a habit of opening windows at night to allow cooler air to enter. Then be sure to close them in the morning before temperatures rise and open them again in the evening as the temperatures gradually drop.Beat heat with cooling airflowWith temperatures soaring, staying cool can be a real challenge on hot summer nights. Dyson purifying fans use Air Multiplier™️ technology with 350-degree oscillation, projecting up to 290 litres of air per second, to cool you.Reduce heat sources at homeOpt for ene
Incorrect temperature on my dyson purifier cool fan
For some reason my Dyson fan is displaying a negative temperature. The fan is in the bedroom so I am 100% certain it isn’t minus 2 degrees in there! Anyone know what’s wrong and how to fix it? I’ve tried leaving it off and then turning it back on and the software is up to date. Thanks. Pic of what it says is below… (Edited by moderator – tags added)

Humidifier stopped working
The humidifier stopped working in the last 2 weeks. I usually have to fill the tank weekly, but the water hasn’t gone down in the last week AND the humidity level is around 20% - and I have the machine set at 30%. I tried raising the machine level to the highest humidity setting but after 24 hrs the room is still at 20%. Please Help!(Edited by moderator – tags added)
Dyson Purifier Hot+Cold Noises
I recently purchased a Dyson Purifier Hot+Cold unit. I was surprised at some of the noise it produces and wanted to ask if it is normal. I have read the posts about it making a high pitch noise in Auto Mode, which my unit does. At times it is louder than expected. Even the pitch volumes can change at times. It can be “annoying” in a bedroom setting. Also, the unit makes a noise when it switches from purifying to heating modes, as the air flow changes. It sounds as if the fan is backing up or reversing motion and then restarting. The noise is considerably louder than I would expect from a unit of this price. It reminds me of an old wall AC unit turning on in a hotel room. Is this normal? Any help is appreciated.(Edited by moderator – tags added)
PH03A vs PH04
I know the PH03 does not purify Formaldehyde as the PH04 does but does the PH03A purify Formaldehyde? I’m asking this because I was told at a Dyson repair shop that the PH03A is just a PH04 without the WiFi board. Is that true? If so then the Formaldehyde processing should be there. Can anyone confirm this? —Rocco—
Ph01 tank status is empty (but it's not)
I have had two PH01's for about 18 months now. They're great, except one of mine is stuck on the fact that it thinks it's, water tank is empty. But the tank isn't empty. I've filled it to various levels over days. I've tried to power cycle it in different ways for different periods of time. Nothing is working. What can I do to get it to sense that the tank has water?
Understanding which Cordless vacuum cleaner I ownTUTORIAL
Getting the correct support for your Dyson machine starts with understanding which product you own. Dyson currently has four distinct generations that make up this category. Cordless - Generation 1 All DC16, DC30, DC31, DC34, DC35, DC43H, DC44, DC45 and DC56 products are members of our Cordless - Generation 1 machines. These are identified by the unique handle design, which detaches from the main body to reveal the filter. This generation is made up of a mixture of Handheld and Stick vacuums. Cordless - Generation 1 Cordless - Generation 2All DC 58, DC59, V6, V7 and V8 products are members of our Cordless - Generation 2 machines. These are identified by the coned shaped filter, which is stored and removed from the top of the machine’s cyclone. Later version of this generation also had a HEPA filter at the rear of the machine. This generation is made up of a mixture of Handheld and Stick vacuums. Water tank and humidity level.
Hello, we have been using our Dyson Purifier Humidify+Cool Formaldehyde for a month and a half, and the water tank is still full since the first time of use. The machine never goes above 30% of humidity, our living room is approx 16’-7’’ X 18’-0’’ and we tried in a small room and even doesn't work ( the bedroom is 13’-0’’X 14’-8’’). The machine works every day for 15 hours and is always in automatic mode and the fan is always in level 10. What can I do? Thank you. ML.
Does the Formaldehyde removes smells?
Hi, I’ve been using my hot and cool formaldehyde for a few months now and have noticed if I have candles or wax melts on, and have my device on at the same time I can hardly smell the candles/wax melts and was wondering if the device removes smells or just toxins in the air? This is not something I was aware of when purchased. I’m happy for it to remove dust etc as it should, but not smells in a room? Can anyone assist? Thanks(Edited by moderator – tags added)
Set Cool Temperature
I have similar question. I also have a Purifier Hot + Cool Formaldehyde (White/Gold).In a room size of 4 meter by 3 meter, with windows and doors closed, at night , the room temperature is 25 Celsius. I set the target temperature to 18 celcius, and fan speed at just 1 (because I wanted the fan to be as quiet as possible while I’m sleeping). I set 18 celcius target temperature by pressing the red minus thermostat control button to 18 celcius and then press the blue dot cooling mode button. After 6 hours, at night, from 1am to 7am, the room temperature is 23 celcius. Is that the correct outcome? I was hoping that the room temperature would be 18 celcius after maybe an hour or at least by 6 hours. What is the correct expectation for the cool feature? What does it do? If I want the room to be 18 celcius on a hot day, how do I configure the unit to cool the room to 18 celcius (if the cool feature is designed to do that). How to: Get the most out of your postsTIPS
To increase engagement and get the most out of your posts, try following these simple steps: Know your audience – avoid using abbreviations or jargon in the ‘Title’ and ‘Description’. Not everyone may know what you mean by a certain phrase. If you do use either, write the complete/non-jargon word the first time, with the abbreviation/jargon in a bracket next to it. You can then continue using the abbreviation or jargon throughout your post and everyone will understand. Be clear – when writing your ‘Title’ and ‘Description’ make sure you’re not going off topic. If you seem to be heading in more than one direction, maybe split the content into multiple posts. Make sure you choose the right ‘Sub forum’ to post in – picking your audience is key if you’ve posting about a specific topic, posing a wider question or starting a new conversation. If it’s in the wrong place it may not get the engagement you’re hoping for. Moderators can move a post if it needs to go into a different forum, so don

Pure Hot + Cool Noisy
I've had the Dyson Pure Hot + Cool Link for about 6 yrs now and have been putting up with a low to medium pitch motor whine at fan speeds slower than level 3. While it is tolerable in a large siiting room or during the day when I'm awake, it is annoying during the night when used in the bedroom and the fan drops to the low speeds in Auto which causes interrupted sleep. Please listen to these audio recordings on my Google drive and advise if this is normal.
