Hot + Cool Formaldehyde Turns Off Randomly

Not sure what setting is causing this but my machine keeps turning off at random moments and during random modes. It'll be set to heating and then I'll realise the screen is off and it's no longer working after its been heating for 8 plus hours. There's no timer set on the app or anything unusual I can find on the machine. Is it just my wifi? Its stable enough for everything else to continue uninterrupted at the same time (streaming in particular). (Edited by moderator – tags added)

Formaldahyde Shutting off

My purifier cool formaldehyde fan the last week has started turning off during the night while I am sleeping.  There are no timers on and all schedules are deleted. Was there an update?  or something I need to do to keep this machine from turning off? This is very annoying causing me to wake and turn it back on.  My hot + cool machine is working fine.

NO2 values

In Dyson app, we can see the NO2 in absolute value of 1,2,3,4 or 5 …… for indoor reading however for the outdoor reading we are seeing PPB reading. Due to the different value, we can’t really compare if the room air is really much better than outside as they are of different units. Anyone notice and know why the difference in the measurement units.

a humming sound intermittently happens

I’ve noticed a humming sound high pitched noise and it happens often but intermittently on its own. I run my Dyson 24-7 on Auto and the filter is okay not ready to be replaced yet per the app percentage.  anyone else experience this humming sound and how do I fix it? It becomes so annoying I turn off the Dyson when it happens.

Incorrect temperature on my dyson purifier cool fan

For some reason my Dyson fan is displaying a negative temperature. The fan is in the bedroom so I am 100% certain it isn’t minus 2 degrees in there! Anyone know what’s wrong and how to fix it? I’ve tried leaving it off and then turning it back on and the software is up to date. Thanks.  Pic of what it says is below… (Edited by moderator – tags added)

Did you know you can use the App to set a schedule for your machine? Well you can and you can even set this over a 7 day period.7-day scheduling allows you to set your purifier to times that suit you, while still in Auto mode. Capturing gaseous pollutant

Traditionally, filtration relates to removing particles from airflow – the job of a HEPA filter. But Dyson engineers understand the components of indoor air, whether in homes or commercial spaces, and have redefined filtration to respond to all the pollution problems indoors – not just some.In addition to the HEPA filtration layer, Dyson purifiers use carbon to absorb gaseous pollution. The activated carbon layer, impregnated with a chemical known as Tris, captures gaseous particles including VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) and oxidising gases such as NO2 (produced by traffic pollution or combustion). Set Cool Temperature

I have similar question. I also have a  Purifier Hot + Cool Formaldehyde (White/Gold).In a room size of 4 meter by 3 meter, with windows and doors closed, at night , the room temperature is 25 Celsius. I set the target temperature to 18 celcius, and fan speed at just 1 (because I wanted the fan to be as quiet as possible while I’m sleeping). I set 18 celcius target temperature by pressing the red minus thermostat control button to 18 celcius and then press the blue dot cooling mode button.After 6 hours, at night, from 1am to 7am, the room temperature is 23 celcius. Is that the correct outcome? I was hoping that the room temperature would be 18 celcius after maybe an hour or at least by 6 hours. What is the correct expectation for the cool feature? What does it do? If I want the room to be 18 celcius on a hot day, how do I configure the unit to cool the room to 18 celcius (if the cool feature is designed to do that). (Edited by moderator – Moved to new Topic and amended title)

location data doesn’t update

Hi. When I set my home town as my location, the temperature, pollen count etc show up, but after a while it stops updating. I can only get current data by going back into settings and putting the same location in again. Is there an easier way to update, and/or is it a flaw in the app?

Changing my broadband/router

Hey, I’m in the process of changing broadband provider and expect a new router to arrive next week. Does anyone know if the machine will need to be reconnected or would it work as normal once my phone is on the new network? Pete

Set Cool Temperature

Hi, We just bought our 1st Dyson Purifier Hot + Cool™ Formaldehyde (White/Gold). It seems to be an amazing bit of kit and the accompanying app really works well. My query is if it is possible to set a target Cool temperature, I do realise its not an air conditioning unit but would love to have it slightly cooler at night. Hope this query makes some kind of sense to someone 😇
