Dyson Zone™ headphones
Hi,I was curious why Dyson decided to pair headphones with air purification, to design this product. Dyson has done air purification, but not audio before to my knowledge. Why make this bet on air purification headphones when there are already n95 masks out there? I think I do see a long more young people wear over the ear headphones these days. Was the idea to add purification for those that enjoy listening to music on the go? I think I saw a photo of James Dyson wearing these on the Tube. I think wearing these in a stuffy or smelly subway, especially like NYC for example, would make sense. But only for those that are bold enough. Clearly these are very conspicuous devices, and I’m wondering what Dyson’s thoughts are on the willingness of people to wear something like this. I’m not sure if covid and the normalization of masks was related. Thank you,Henry
Hello 👋🏻 I tried using the included USB-C to USB-C cable to connect the Zone to my phone to listen that way but it doesn't work.I have a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, it will recognize that a device is plugged in but it only sends it power, it doesn't recognize it as an audio device. If I use the in-flight adapter with a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter and connect it to my phone's USB-C port then my phone recognizes the 3.5mm adapter as an audio device and send out the audio. Is there a way I can use the Zone wired and connect it to my phone with just a USB-C to USB-C cable? Thank you!
So I wrote this on Reddit but thought I’d post it here as well for anyone looking for impressions from somebody who has insane levels of scent sensitivity: Okay so ever since the first day I saw the Dyson Zone announced, I've wanted a pair. I know for a lot of people even after all the mask stuff related to covid were still worried about looking weird wearing them. And realistically, if you're someone who never has issues with air quality, or is a smoker, or in general do horrible things to your lungs on the regular, you won't see the value in this product. Without the visor they're just a set of very good headphones. But at the same time, you can get very good headphones for much cheaper. There are however people for whom this product will be life-changing. It is estimated that up to 30% of the population exhibit varying levels of negative reactions to perfume and other airborne irritants. This is often expressed as either migraines, asthma attacks or headaches.Me? I get migraines. Isn
Hi there, I’ve been asking around and I haven’t been able to find when the Dyson Zone headphones will be available in Canada? I’ve been waiting patiently for these since they launched but they’re still not on sale in my country.I suffer from MCS (basically any perfume in the air even just a few particles per million will trigger a severe reaction. It’ll cause painful migraines that also trigger my fight or flight reflex in super irrational ways. Basically it’s like I’ve been drugged and at the very best I’m just in a lot of pain and loopy, at worst I get paranoid, angry and can’t stop thinking that jumping off my balcony would be a good way to make the pain stop.)So I’ve really been looking forward to these launching in Canada. But it’s taking forever. I’ve heard that if I bought them on Amazon and just had them shipped to Canada the warranty would still be honoured? I’d rather not do that as that adds a few hundred dollars to the price with import duties and what not.Anyway, any clari
Hi. All related topics I can find are closed to comments, so asking a new question. Is the air filtration separate to the noise cancelling, i.e. can I run the air without any noise cancellation/audio?What level of noise does the air filtration create for the user? Thank you.

So, I dabble in a lot of things, and this past weekend I DJ’ed a birthday party. I usually use either my Sennheiser HD 25’s or my AKG N90Q’s, but decided to test this 8 hour party with the Zones.TL;DR - I was not disappointed.Something I like to do is put the headphones on top of my head (off my ears) so I can hear the room. The Dyson headband is strong enough to “hold in place” when I put the phones on my head ( meaning the ear cups are pressed against my head as if my head was listening.. does that make sense?) so I can quickly assess the audio and make a tweak if need be. Because they also flip out they can lay flat on my DJ controller which is a plus.I connected the charging cable, mainly to see if it would interfere with my operating, and it was not a problem. The cans will last for hours if you are not using filtration ( I did not use any filtration this time -- just as headphones) but still wanted to see how I got on with it should I ever find myself needing to connect them to s
Went for a walk in Chicago. The smoke has made the air quality some of the worst in the world. Yet the app has the air quality as 0.4. The same it is inside, the same it is all of the time. What gives? Are other people noticing this? I wonder if my device is faulty in some way.
Just a quick shout out to All Zone users and those on the sidelines thinking about getting a pair.I’m a cinematographer and many times I am out in some gnarly locations (“whatever it takes to get the shot!”) but most always when out in the elements where you can’t control the air (ie, in an air conditioned location) there are at least some smells you encounter.Today I was out in Hollywood 17 stories up on a roof of a building for a shoot. Because we are outside, there are areas one can smoke, etc., but with the way the winds blow, you can go from upwind to downwind in a blast of cigar smoke in a matter of a second or thrice. This was a good use for my Dyson Zone cans. They did not disappoint. I really really likes these and yes the air still smellllllssssss freessshhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! 🤓 The real MVP
Dyson Zone - Unboxing/ReviewSPOTLIGHTED POST
I came across this community while scrolling on Reddit! Great to see the Zone’s featured. Very extensive information, I specifically like the Dyson Zone™️ headphones: Getting started | Dyson Community post. I’m sure there’s a bunch of you already on Reddit, so you might have seen this review already. I thought I'd share it either way. (Dyson Zone) Love these things, the Air Purification works amazingly..“The sound quality is better than the AirPods Max. The weight of the headphones do not bother me at all. I have had them on my head for over 6 hours with no pressure points.Included cables are excellent quality with the ability to Charge and listen at the same time while wired. No noticeable delay in audio, able to watch videos and movies.”
Hello!I could try and find my calipers and do this all manually.. however, to avoid potentially scuffing my headphones and for more accuracy.. I am inquiring if I can get a drawing/dimensions/3D CAD files, essentially whatever I am allowed to have.I want to start designing files for 3d printing such as a custom stand, compact case (similar to airpods max), and some mask efficiency designs. Anything helps, thanks!
Figured I'd lend my non youtube/social media influencer review on these cans. I bought them with my own bread and I don't have any compensation from Dyson or anyone.I've had mine closing on two weeks now. My daily cans are AKG N90Q. Those are also big. I've never used apples earphones so can't compare but the dyson is on par with the ANC of the AKGs.The ear cups feel like marshmallows around your ears and the weight is uniform. They are not heavy to me and I can wear them for longer than an hour with no headaches or neck pain, they don't feel like your head is in a vice.Battery life is not the greatest when you run the filter on moderate, which is the max setting. Dyson mention this in their documentation so it's not a shock. If no music is playing, you hear a subtle whirrrrrr of the fans when the filter is on low/auto/siting. If you play classical music and you have the filter on the highest setting, you may hear some white noise from the fan. I'm a fan (no pun) of Philip Glass and on
Hi all,Thank you for having me. Loving my Zone so far. Wish I was able to get the Absolute+ for the copper colored mask and extras. Dyson should sell the extras, or at least the airplane aux cable w/ charging. Would love if you’d sell the Absolute+ mask too, I see having extra masks as being valuable!Secondly, I know it’s quite soon, but I’d like to understand the filter life and replacement cost. I cannot find the filters on Dyson even when navigating to “replace” through the app. Hoping they’re reasonable as the price tag for the Zone is a little hefty.Lastly, if app devs could allow you to further customize the audio equalizer, that’d be totally killer. Other suggestions, maybe a battery life estimation before the purification turns off.Loving these flashy, innovative headphones - as I’ve seen and agree, THE AIR SMELLS GOOD.Thanks!

@Stuart ,Hope you’re doing well mate.Under the article Viewing the headphones software information , it states :To ensure the headphones are always on the latest software version, we recommend switching auto-update on Under the current Android version of the app thats is current in the app store, there is no toggle to enable or disable. That said, on Android, it’s clearly enabled because yesterday once I connected the android app to the phones, a software update was at the ready.I’ve got an iFruit (Iphone) as well but I am too lazy to connect the headphones to it at the moment :-p, but looking at the app under the headphones section of it (that's the only thing I have connected to the dyson app) i didn't see a toggle there either.Attached a screenshot of the phone app. tapping on the software tab does nothing. It's not a big deal at all but it's good to know if I’m screwing up or what..:)Thanks for your presence on this forum about this new device. I am loving each moment I wear these an
I’m debating purchasing the Dyson headphones once they launch in the UK. I travel on average 2 - 3 times a months internationally, back and forth Asia and Europe.Does anyone know if I can use the audio function on a flight/the purification part without a problem? Is there any guidance in the operational material or box? I can’t find anything on the UK website. Thanks in advance. (Moderation Edit - Title Updated)
