Cleaning your machine’s surface

Begin by turning your machine off at the socket and unplugging it from the mains power outlet. Once unplugged, simply wipe the loop amplifier, filter unit and other parts with a dry cloth.

Do not use detergents and/or polish to clean the machine.

Checking for blockages

The following places are recommended to check for a build-up of dust and debris. A soft brush would be ideal to get any of the finer dust particles.

  1. The air inlet holes on the perforated filter housing.
  2. The small aperture inside the loop amplifier
  3. The air holes behind the filter

More information can be found in the ‘Using your machine’ guide in the Dyson App.

Once your machine is connected, navigate to the home-screen, selecting the ‘Settings’ icon in the top right, then select ‘Using your machine’.

From here, navigate through to the ‘Cleaning your machine’ section.

YouTube

The Dyson YouTube channel hosts a vast amount of content that can support on this process. As well as those that provide tips on using, maintaining, and getting the best out of your Dyson machine. Simply use the on-screen search option or navigate through the playlists to start viewing these.
