There are two ways in which the machine’s filters can be reset;

  1. Through the Dyson App.
  2. Manually using the physical Remote;

Using the Dyson App

Once your machine is connected, navigate to the home-screen, selecting the ‘Settings’ icon in the top right, then select ‘Your machine’s settings’.

From here, navigate through to the ‘Air’ section and select ‘Filter management’.

On the next screen under the image of the filter(s), choose ‘Reset filter life’ and follow the on screen instructions.

To view instructions on how to ‘Reset filter life’ using the remote, press the setting icon in the top right, then select the ‘Using your machine’ option.

More information on connecting your machine to the Dyson App can be found on our ‘Connecting your Purifiers, Humidifiers and Heaters to the App’ article.

If through resetting the machines filter(s) using the Dyson App doesn’t reflect on the LCD screen, please continue to reset the filter(s) using the physical remote.

Using the physical Remote

To manually reset your machine’s filters using the remote control, please follow the below steps.

HEPA Filter - Long press and hold the ‘Timer’ button on the remote. The LCD screen will countdown from five. Once the counter has finished, the Carbon filter will be reset.

Carbon Filter - Long press and hold the ‘Night’ button on the remote. The LCD screen will countdown from five. Once the counter has finished, the HEPA filter will be reset.

Please note: Combined HEPA and Activated Carbon filter

Earlier version of the Generation 2 Purifiers, HP04, TP04 and DP04 we supplied with a duel HEPA and Inner Carbon Filter. Where a Combined HEPA and Activated Carbon filter has been sourced as a direct replacement on these models, both filter will need to be manually reset.

The filter life through the onboard LCD screen and In-App is calculated using the same metrics and will continue to accurately report the correct percentage (%) and percentage (%) decrease over time.
