Dyson V8 bin flap missing - unloading contents through entrance when lifted vertical.

Hi all,

Dyson V8 unloading contents through entrance when lifted vertical. Just wondered if the one way valve was replaceable please?

Thank you for raising this with us.

It sounds like the missing valve is causing the debris to fall out of the machine when placed in the upright position.

As the valve is an integrated part of the clear plastic bin, it isn’t a part sold separately. However, you should be able to order a replacement clear bin without issue. 

To do this, please refer to our How to: Order spare parts and accessories article. Here, you’ll also notice a list of recommended retailers.

Simply Use the Guides and Manuals link, select your machine from the options available and navigate through to the ‘Guides’ page. Here you will find on-screen instructions for filter maintenance.

Confirmed. The bin flap isn’t sold separately by Dyson. You’ll have to order the bin (Dyson Bin Part No. 967699-01).
