I have used my new Cyclone V10 3 times before it stopped working. I diligently emptied the dust cannister after every use , cleaned it out and put it back on its charger. This last time it wouldn’t take a charge and never started again. I’ve owned it less than a month and if I hadn’t thrown out the box, I would have returned it and bought a different brand. I’m stuck with it now. I’m wondering if this is going to be a regular monthly occurrence or is it just a one time breakdown? Any experience with this? We love our V7 Christmas present from last year, use it fortnightly and it has been really great, cleaned regularly, recharged fully always after use and rarely used on max suction. So it was quite a surprise today for it to suddenly stop after 10 seconds and repeat that after 4 hours charging, using a different power point. Does this mean the battery has failed after just 22 operations? If so, then we would have to go back to the old 240V unit because those battery packs would have a very large carbon footprint with such a short life, plus a battery replacement cost of $9 every time we use it. Someone give me some good news please. (Edited by moderator – Moved to a new category)
My V15 came with purple filter, but in the replacement parts catalog I can see 2:Blue 970013-03 Purple 970013-02Is there any difference between them except the color? Why only blue one has “HEPA” mentioned in its name? Does it mean purple isn’t a HEPA filter?Would be nice if someone could clarify this because currently it’s a bit confusing.
Hi Friends,I own a Dyson V11 Absolute cordless vacuum cleaner.Lately, I've been having issues with the trigger button, which makes me suspect the trigger lever might have cracked.Does anyone know what torx screw drivers sizes will fit the V11?I don't currently own any torx screw drivers so I would like to order just the sizes that I actually need.Hope someone can help 🙏
I just bought a new V10 at a great sale price. We are currently renting, building our dream home. I do not want to mount the unit in our rental, in fact, we don’t need to use it all. It is for the new home. I plan to store it, new in the box, for 12 months. Will this damage my battery? Is there a better way?
Could you please help me, where the problem with my fluffy head might be? It looks like both motors are working, but the one from the head works for a few seconds, then stops both motors for a second and doesn't start again… even if I keep the power button pressed. I have uploaded a short video as it is better to see than read the problem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2k0jGE6Mq3U
Another usefu video from Lords Electrical UK.How to Clean and Maintain the Dyson V11 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWmcA0APECUWe own a V11 Absolute, and I found it very useful. There are some posts on other forums that mention sometimes the bin will not release for emptying. I beleive this can hapen occasionally on the V8, and V11, possibly others. The body seal will sometimes get stuck to the back end of the bin. The best way to deal with this is to rock the bin back and forth a bit whilst pulling forward, whilst holding the main body. Once it has moved a couple of millimetres away from the black body seal, the bin should then pull off OK to release the lid with the use of the red lever. Once pulled forward enough to empty, get the bin off as shown in the video, ensure all surfaces are free of dust, wipe the black seal on the main body with slightly damp microfibre cloth, then the inside of the bin, and the red seal. Ensure those are completely dry, then either
