Need a replacement part: 917260-01

Hi,I saw that this part is out of stock, so I called Dyson and the service representative said that part 967365-01 is compatible. He then told me that there might be back stock available. I was told that I had to register my machine in order to be notified when the part is in stock and he proceeded to register my machine over the phone. He assured me that after talking with a supervisor, he would email me a summary of our conversation. I tried to log into MyDyson, but I found that I was not registered. I registered my vacuum. I did not receive an email from Dyson, but the service rep gave me an email address “questions@dyson.com” I emailed my query about the parts, but I have received no response. I found part 967365-01 at an overseas seller and inquired about its compatibility with CY18. He responded that it is not compatible. I am confused and a bit frustrated because I don’t know if the parts are compatible I can’t use my machine without part 917260-01. Where might I find help for t

Corded Vacuum - Triggerhead - Help with purchasing

Hi, my triggerhead for my DC39 does not work. I contacted dyson via what’s app in dec 2022. After long winded conversation I was told it was out of stock. Click notify me online. That option was not available so I took screen shot and sent back. I got no reply after that. Now it’s 2nd feb 2023 and I contacted dyson via telephone. Getting the same response. Not In stock and they cannot tell me when it wil be in. Same again no notify option on the trigger head again today. I am beyond frustrated. My next Hoover purchase certainly will not be a dyson based on after service. It would be so much easier to buy spare parts in local shops that sell dyson anyway (Moderation Edit - Tags Added)

Multifloor 2, no suction in hose

My Dyson Multi floor 2 works great on carpet and floors. I have absolutely no suction through the house when trying to use the attachments. I have taken the machine apart, cleaned the filters, removed blockages. Nothing hads worked. What else can I do?

Dyson Upright Animal Small Ball Head not Spinning

Hi FolksI have a Dyson Animal Small Ball. The head does not spin. I press the relevant button and there is the slightest amount of movement and the accompanying noise (very briefly) but the brush bar does not spin. I have tried to "egg" it on, by manually rotating and pressing the button but it's not playing (small)ball.I've unhooked it and cannot see any obvious blockage or anything stopping the brush bar from spinning. I also don't think it's anything to do with the wiring because the head does "activate" for a second.Any help is very welcomed. (Moderation Edit - Tags Added)

Retired Dyson DC15 Allergy - Where can I purchase parts?

Hi, I have a Dyson DC15 allergy (white ball), and it stopped working.I have checked all the wiring but found the armature of the main motor was covered with carbon (so no connection) and also the main carbon brushed were worn one more than other. So, I cleaned the armature, and the vacuum cleaner works now. I need to replace new brushes, but unable to find the brushes for DC15 on the internet. Also called Dyson and they were unable to help and did not want to give me the part number.Can anyone help where i could purchase a replacement brushed for the main motor and for the brush motor.  (Moderation edit - Category/Title updated)

Dyson DC20 Animal - Turbine Head Attachment

HiOur DC20 Stowaway Turbine Head has become very rattly and inefficient. I took it apart but couldn’t see anything obviously wrong. As this model isn’t supported anymore I was wondering if anyone could please tell me what replacements there are that would work with my DC20 and is there also some sort of adapter I would need to get it to attach? The model number of the head is 906565-30 which I eventually found on the Dyson site. It’s out of stock (although there is one on ebay for £150 + £20 P&P!!!). DC 25 Upright vacuum - Brush Bar Not Spinning

Upright vacuum cleaner - Ball Animal 2 - Brush Bar Not Spinning on one side (left, shorter side).

I’ve looked on several different sites and Youtube videos on what could be going on, but can’t quite seem to figure this out.  I’ve been able to remove the cleaner head, removed hair from brush, and cleaned the electrical sensors, but the left side of the brush bar still won’t spin when running.When it’s off, I’ve noticed the left side spins almost too easily.  When compared to the right side, which works properly and has a “tighter” spin to it when spinning manually while off, the left side just spins around too easily almost as if it’s not attached properly.  Not sure how else to explain it really but I’ve tried everything I can find and it’s still not working.  The one step I couldn’t complete was removing the brush bar entirely.  According the directions I found a T10 torx should work to remove the 4 screws still holding the brush on, but I couldn’t get those off even with a T10.  Kinda stuck (no pun intended). (Moderation Edit - Tags Added/Title Updated)

Dyson Ball Animal Pro+ - Brush bar help

I’ve been very happy with how well the vacuum works but there’s some definite design issues that need attention.After a few uses I do the needful of cleaning the brush bar of little bits of string and hair that build up. This is the standard process documented in the user manual. Fast forward a few years and the beater bar stopped working. I did not see any hair on the beater bar but it did not even move. Still under warranty, I brought to a store for inspection. The tech came out 10 min later with a brand new head and then showed me the inside of the old head. It was super clogged inside the head with hair. The only way to get into the head is to remove screws; pull out the brush bar(s).Since I want my head to live longer I go through this process of dismantling the head to pull out all the hair (got two women in the house with long hair) about once a month. It’s just really infuriating that a device called “Animal” can’t deal with hair plugging up the insides. And yes, there’s always

Upright Vacuum DC14 clutch VERY noisy - RATTLES

Brush bar - Not loosening pet hair

How do I get replacement bristles for my brush bar? I have an upright corded model cleaner which wasn’t a problem with my late Springer Spaniel however my new one has a different coat and on various carpets  the cleaner rolls hair into a ball and it stays there after the brush head has gone over, it doesn't make any difference whether the brush bar is being powered or if the front suction bar is down I can only suspect that the bristles have worn and need replacing. I can't find them on the spares list! (Edited by moderator – Tags added)

Servicing my Dyson

HiI have an old DC19 vacuum cleaner. It’s working fine but I think after 10-15 yrs plus it could do with a service. Why buy a new one when this one works fine? The thing is that I don’t think Dyson offer a resonantly priced service (which I consider should be c £50). My neighbours have taken out insurance which entitles them to a service apparently. I just want to be sure of what options are available. I live in Guildford, Surrey. Any help / advice welcome.  thxChris  (Edited by moderator – Tags added)

DC40 broken internal flip hoseMy DC40

My DC40 Vacuum is broken after 7 happy years. It is a seemingly small fault. The internal flip hose - a small hose near the base of the vacuum - has badly split and needs replacement. Replacing hoses is usually simple on Dyson, but not so here. The Youtube is highly complicated. I took it to a repair shop - not Dyson as none near me (DC) - and they were familiar with Dyson repairs. It is only a small tube. They explained that it is highly complicated taking more than 5 times longer than even major repairs to do and not worth the $130 they would charge. They recommended buying a new one. The YouTube video bore it out. I buy Dyson for their longevity. Am really put off replacing with another. Anyone else have this experience or suggestions?It is part 922625-03: a cheap part; it is the labor that is costly.

Insight - Lifespan of washable filters

I own a Dyson DC14 Animal.  It has been great for our family and worked for a long time.It obviously comes with the washable filter that is separate from the HEPA filter that it also contains.I was curious on what are people’s different estimates for the lifespan of these pre-motor filters.  For mine, it sits on top of the canister.  I realize that we should wash them by directions at a period of once every month to once every six months depending on the degree of usage of the vacuum.I am not talking about how often we should wash them.  I am talking about what are people’s rough estimates on how long they would last until they need to be replaced.  I guess we actually have to look at two items here because there is a screen in the plastic insert that the washable filter goes into which I know can clog over time as well.Thanks for the help! (Edited by moderator – Tags added and Title amended)

Dyson DC24 Multi Floor Upright Vacuum Cleaner - missing part?

Hello! I need some help, please.I’ve cleaned the Cleaner Head on my DC24 a few times.After the most recent cleaning, the vacuum sounds ‘off’ and and feels harder to push along the floor.I’m worried there is a part missing, specifically a red plastic part (that would sit just below the yellow ball wheel assembly). I’ve looked at various product photos online and so far found them inconclusive.If you have this product, kindly check out the photo of mine below and let me know if it looks ok. (Edited by moderator – Tag added)
