Debug connection issues

I have a new robot with a schedule to clean while I’m at the gym. It’s failed to start 4 out of 5 times saying unable to start the cleaning sessionWhen I try to connect to see what’s occurring, I get thisAfter hitting refresh a load of times, or waiting half-an-hour, I’m able to start the session remotely, but manually. Any ideas how I can fix this?

No Map

I have a warranty replacement Nav 360 and I have done 3 mapping runs but I still haven’t got a map. .  Can anyone advise me please 😁

Dyson 360 VIS NAV - How to rename rooms

Hey all,While I was naming my rooms, I mistakenly selected the wrong room for a bathroom. Is there any way I can rename it without having to remap the entire house?

How To Create Two Maps With One Dock.

Hi.Since 2006 I've used a Neato XV Signature. But when the first Dyson robot vacuum cleaner came out with a much more powerful motor I I hoped Dyson would make a lower model, like my Neato, as that Dyson was too high to fit under my bed, wardrobe, and coffee table.Then only recently to my glad surprise I saw there was the 360 Vis Nav. I gave it to myself as a birthday present which fell in the Black Friday week. To test it I had the Neato vacuum my bedroom first, and right after that I let the Dyson have a go at it.I had to empty the latter's dust compartment three times. The first two times it said “Airflow obstruction."So I'm glad to have the Dyson robot. With the Neato I used to move the obstructions in the bedroom on the bed and in the hall of my apartment, and let it clean only the bedroom first with the doors to the living room and hall closed. After that to have the living room cleaned I moved the obstructions from the living room to the bedroom. I have chairs and a small glass

Schedule view: replace Configured with Zone name

Repro steps:Create new event Pick a specific zone Confirm Pick date of event Event shows as ConfiguredIf you have multiple, it not intuitive to know which zone is scheduled to be cleaned. Please replace Configured with the Zone name.

Feature request to manually adjust mapped area

Hi community! I just got the robot and am pretty happy with it so far (especially the suction power and the ability to move through certain obstacles). However there are certainly some areas I hope the robot can be better at: during mapping phase, the robot incorrectly mapped the office chair in the middle of the room as a bunch of walls (see picture), and cannot be corrected manually unless I do a full mapping again. If I move the charging station, the robot also wants to do a full remap. Here are some of my suggestions: improve the precision of the mapping process (probably longer term) probably allow remap by zone? allow the robot to update its knowledge of the map gradually (like it will update the map to remove the hole once it finds out it can actually go through it) allow adjusting the mapped area (at least for certain areas like I would like to remove the hole at the top left of the map as it’s actually a chair) allow manually adjusting the location of the charging base in th

Dyson 360 vis nav: divide a zone without remapping

Dear dysoners,I have a question regarding the zoning process: The robot has completed the initial mapping procedure. Zoning in different rooms has been done already. Now I need to divide an existent zone (room) in to 2. Is this possible without remapping the whole area? thanks in advance chris

Will you be improving the mapping function for the 360 Vis Nav?

The mapping process for the 360 Vis Nav is buggy and doesn’t provide any function for refinement or amendments to the floor plans (other than a completely new map), are you planning an upgrade?I’ve had to turn all my lights on, move things off of the floor over the entire house etc and despite this it’s come up with incomplete maps three times for various reasons (got trapped twice, room too dark once).  I haven’t been able to zone my house because I’m struggling to get a map with at least all the rooms on it and I’m not keen to run it a fourth time in two days.Could you please upgrade the mapping system so it updates after cleans?  I bought this machine as an upgrade for my 5 year old Roomba and it’s better in every way… except this.  The ancient bot I’ve replaced had an excellent adaptive mapping program that refined the map after every run and I’m really surprised the Dyson doesn’t do similar (or at least allow “ammendment” mapping runs to update existing maps).  It clearly captures

What do you use the 2nd Charging Station for?

Recently received our Dyson Robot Vacuum - very happy. Unit came with 2 charging stations - what is the intention of the second charging station? Are you able to program the robot to use two charging stations on the same floor? I have installed the second unit in an accessible area however the robot does not seem to acknowledge its existence, choosing rather to return to its ‘main’ charging station.  Lost opportunity to allow it to change at will from two points around the house.

Bought a new robot but the mapping is incomplete.. does it automatically pick up new areas? Or should I keep remapping?

Map Naming

I’ve tried to custom name my map, but no matter what combination, the submit button will not light up allowing me to submit a new name.  With that, it seems customizing the name seems impossible.  Anyone figure this out?

Moving Dock

Just a tip - if you decide to move your dock to a new location (even if to a different wall in the same room), you’ll need to remap your home.

How to get 360 Vis Nav to vacuum toe kicks under cabinets?

I am having a problem getting the 360 Vis Nav to actually vacuum the “toe kick” under kitchen cabinets.  It is completely ignoring them.Could re-mapping help?  Can I only re-map the kitchen area and not the whole house?  The Roomba had a little “whisker” that would extend out and sweep these crumbs completely.

Mapping issues on the 360 Vis Nav

I’ve had a Roomba in the past and hated it, so I was excited to finally get a Dyson, having bought my first Dyson vacuum in 2006. I expected the mapping on the Dyson to be top notch.  Last night, I mapped our home, and this morning I tried creating a map. Our home has angles, so not everything is on a 90-degree layout.  There is no way for me to put a separation at a 45-degree angle. Rotating the separation is only at 90-degree angles. With the Roomba, we could isolate our kitchen for a daily cleaning, but there is no way to do this without adding 45-degree separators.  This also means that our cleaning routine over FIVE AND A HALF HOURS to clean the living room and kitchen together?  Dyson, will you be adding the ability to create 45-degree angles in the software? If not, this vacuum is completely useless in our home.  Here’s the Roomba map with angled zone dividers:

hi all,I got the robot recently and let it map my 90 square feet flat. The map looks ok but I am having a problem getting the robot to clean 2 specific rooms (bed room and kitchen)  when I tell the robot to clean all, all rooms will be cleaned.When I ask the robot to clean the living room or the bedroom only it refuses. The robot basically undock, move few cms and then return back to the dock saying it couldn’t find the rooms. i deleted the map and created a new one. now the robot can clean the living room on it is own but still refuses to enter and clean my bedroom.  if I remove the bed room divider and include the floor with the bed room it also works but this is stupid.  any ideas ? With my precious robots (Roomba and roborock) I didn’t face such issues :(.

Scheduling - power levels per room

When setting on-demand room cleans, you can set the desired power level per room.  When scheduling cleans, the power levels are not available to be set for each schedule, and default to whatever was last set on the on-demand clean for each room.  Is there a way to define a schedule for a day/time, and selection of rooms, where you can set a specific power level? It would be great to be able to set a clean on quiet at an early hour, only for specific rooms. Then have the power level on auto when it’s not early morning, and on a different day.In the scheduling configuration, I can choose a level for the entire home, or individual rooms, but not rooms and power level per room. In the on-demand window (Select zones to start cleaning), I can select desired rooms and their required power level. The power level values chosen here persist for each room in all schedules, until changed. The only way I can get this to happen, is to remember to update the power levels between schedules…which provi

Multiple Floors Maps Docks

Have a new vis and have multiple floors & a sunk living room. How best to think about getting more than one dock versus moving robot & dock?  Any pros/cons beyond the obvious? Also how does the unit know where it is? Just based on what area / map you tell/schedulel it to vacuum?

How to delete false detected rooms from the map

Hi there,I am a really confident dyson 360 vis nav user, but something bothers me. Sometimes the robot detects new rooms which arent there. Unfortunately those rooms are permanently added to the map right away. Is there a way to delete those without re-mapping the whole house over again?As you can see in the screenshot it has discovered a “new room” next to the utility room which does not exist. It also has added some weird shapes to the living room on top. How to delete these? Those lead the robot to a inefficient navigation. Thanks!

My Dyson Vis Nav is having some weird Mapping Glitches - Suggestions welcome.

It seems it didn't line up the dirt spots correctly with the Door way and Kitchen area.

Dyson 360 Vis Nav mapping - Feedback

Hi All, I been running a new robot vac for a week now and I’m bewildered by the cleaning pattern the device uses. It can be almost random at times amd seems very inefficient (which is very anti-Dyson). The edge cleaning is also hit or miss. At times it does small sections of long edge runs which tells me that it can’t follow an straight edge well. I’m generally happy with the purchase but I do feel the Australia and Japan are being used as a test market to dial in the logic controlling the unit. Australian’s and Japanese are less likely to complain out loud and have a high disposable income - the perfect market to bed in a new piece of equipment. Interested to hear others (and Dyson’s) feedback on the cleaning pattern. Does it learn? Will it become more efficient over time?
