I want to use the Dyson nav without the mapping but can not find out how.

Welcome to the Dyson Community!
For the best user experience, we do recommend allowing your robot to map the floorspace - as this enables the robot to offer additional functionality and cleaning customisation via the MyDyson
app. The robot has been designed to be used in this way.
To use your robot without completing a mapping session, you can start your robot manually using the LCD touchscreen control to activate the robot and select the desired cleaning mode. The robot will then clean all reachable floorspace.
