Hi.
Since 2006 I've used a Neato XV Signature. But when the first Dyson robot vacuum cleaner came out with a much more powerful motor I I hoped Dyson would make a lower model, like my Neato, as that Dyson was too high to fit under my bed, wardrobe, and coffee table.
Then only recently to my glad surprise I saw there was the 360 Vis Nav. I gave it to myself as a birthday present which fell in the Black Friday week. To test it I had the Neato vacuum my bedroom first, and right after that I let the Dyson have a go at it.
I had to empty the latter's dust compartment three times. The first two times it said “Airflow obstruction."
So I'm glad to have the Dyson robot.
With the Neato I used to move the obstructions in the bedroom on the bed and in the hall of my apartment, and let it clean only the bedroom first with the doors to the living room and hall closed. After that to have the living room cleaned I moved the obstructions from the living room to the bedroom.
I have chairs and a small glass table with a square steel frame resting on the floor the Dyson cannot get under, plus a few other things near the walls. I like to move it all out so the Dyson can vacuum the whole unobstructed room.
In order to map the whole apartment without the obstructions I would have to set them all in the corridor I share with seven neighbours. Something I rather not do.
Is there a way to map the bedroom and the living room -which extends to a back room and kitchen as one large room- separately with one charging dock? (As if they were on different floors.)
If not it would be a choice between getting a second dock or moving all obstructions from the whole apartment into the corridor to have the Dyson map the whole place and divide it into zones: bedroom, living- and back room, entrance hall, and bathroom.
All together many things. (I forgot to mention obstructions in the hall and bathroom I always moved into the bedroom for the Neato.)
