I am talking about the general messages in the App. I want to receive these, but clear the numerous old messages, so I can see when a new one arrives.

Thanks for this additional information!

At this time, there’s no way of clearing notifications from the inbox, or marking them as ‘read’ in bulk. 

We’d suggest clicking into any unread notifications - once they’ve all been opened, the red dot highlighting a new notification will be cleared until a new one arrives.

Going forward, clicking into new notifications as you receive them will ensure you’re always up to date.
