Bin inlet flap

The red bin inlet flap of my V7 has come off completely.  I cannot see how to reattach it.  The machine seems to be working OK.  Does it matter?  It must be there for some reason.

Hi @Suze1,

Welcome to the Dyson Community! Sorry to hear your Dyson V7™ vacuum’s bin inlet flap has become detached. This part is designed to help ensure dust and debris can’t fall back out of the machine when it’s vertical - for example, where it’s being stored and recharged in the wall dock.

If you’re finding it’s not possible to reattach this, you would need to order a replacement bin. You can find this here. At the time of writing it’s currently out of stock, but you can sign up to receive an email notification when new stock is made available.

Hope this helps!
