Once your machine is connected, navigate to the home-screen, selecting the ‘Settings’ icon in the top right, then select ‘Your machine’s settings’.

From here, navigate through to the ‘Deep clean cycle’ section and select ‘Water hardness’.

On the next screen under choose either ‘Soft’, ‘Medium; or ‘Hard’.

Please note. Your Deep cleaning cycle frequency is determined by your water hardness settings. Hard water requires more frequent Deep cleaning cycles.

Water hardness is defined by the level of naturally occurring calcium and magnesium compound in your water. High content classifies your water as hard, whereas low traces of the compound mean your water is soft. To understanding how the water hardness affects your machine, select the ‘Learn more’ option.

More information on connecting your machine to the Dyson App can be found on our ‘Connecting your Purifiers, Humidifiers and Heaters to the App’ article.
