I purchased a Dyson Cyclone V10 animal in Nov 2021. After cleaning and drying the filter, the filter light keeps flashing. Does this mean we need to replace the filter? If so, where do we purchase it from? Is it normal for filters needing to be replacedafter 2 years? Does my insurance or warranty cover this?
I have a UP16 (Light Ball) and the brush stops spinning after a few seconds of use on a loop pile carpet. Is this normal?I have to keep pressing the brush button for it to activate.I would have thought the brush on loop pile carpets would do a better job lifting up the dirt off the carpet? This Dyson only seems to work on hard floors with less friction than loop pile.Let me know if I'm using it incorrectly?
I recently had my carpet professionally cleaned. Previous owner has dogs and it took several cleans, leaving there carpet wet. It has been slow to dry and now has a nasty smell of damp. I have a DC49 and ideally want to use that than but something else.Any tips?Thank youJustin
The black tube attached to the hose on my MultiFloor 2 fits into the purple piece (yellow on my machine) shown in the drawing below. What holds these two pieces together when you want to use the hose for cleaning drapes or upholstery, etc. On mine, the tube just falls out of the purple piece (at the blue arrow) whenever I want to use it. It seems like I must be missing some sort of clip that holds the two pieces together. No amount of force will join them together so that they “click” into place.
My small ball allergy has a cleaner head attached by a clip or something that locks into place. Increasingly the cleaner head is separating during vaccuming and having to be reattached 3 or 4 times. Cannot see any obvious parts missing or broken. Is this usual? Thanks

Hi bi have a new corded ball animal Dyson. Suction is fantastic with all except the attachments particularly the crevice tool. It’s ok when used directly on the hose but when attached to the sand suction is really poor. No blockages and as I say works fine when not on the wand. Is this a known issue please?
Hello together, first of all i hope you understand my problem/questtion :) Since i am not an native english speaker, I prbably dont use allways the exact terms. I own an old Dysen, DC08 which i really like. Unfortunately, the cleaner head in worn, so I cant use the origianl one anymore. But i got two other cleaner heads from a newer version (think it is DC29) and from an even older version (DCxx). Are there adapters, so I can use for example the cleaner head form DC29 with my cleaner DC08?Thanks in advance for every answerThomas
Dyson dc40I’m looking for an accessory hose to put on the wand as a tool. I do not need a replacement hose. The wand is very unwieldy and I have to hoist it over my shoulder to use the cleaning tools. A hose that attaches to the tool end of the wand may solve that problem. Or a hose from another model that may serve the purpose.Elizabeth JonesSt George, Utah (Moderation edit - Sensitive data removed/Tags Added)
The filter light on my vacuum kept flashing, so I ordered a new filter - it’s an Amazon knock off, but all the reviews said that it worked just fine. I just put it in and the same thing is happening… My vacuum also appears to not really be sucking anything up, Everything seems to be blowing out of and around it - I got it about a year ago but I don’t use it that much so I don’t think I could’ve broke it. I don’t know what to do!
I had a Dyson all floors DC07 and when I wanted to use the wand to vacuum hard floors it would flip around and there would be a handle to use. My new Dyson animal 3 does not seem to do this and when I try to vacuum hard floors have to practically hold on to hose. It doesn’t seem right. Is there a handle part or attachment that I don’t have? Or an extension to the wand so I’m not bending over so far to vacuum hard floors? Thanks. (Moderation Edit - Tags Added/Title Updated)
i had a DC05 which gave 15 years reliable service, and was only retired when an enthusiastic teenager dropped it down the stairs and the handle snapped off. Even then it briefly served as a dust extractor for a table saw. No complaints. It made me a Dyson advocate, for life I thought. To replace it, only another Dyson was considered.A DC55 seemed the logical choice in 2018.Cleaning power - awesome, as you’d expect.👍long-term useability, not so much. 😪Has anyone else found the following niggles, or di get a dud?sliding the red ‘wand’ back into the handle - unreliable. sometimes it does not want to slot in. frustrating opening the bottom of the dust bin with the button on top. after 6 months, just fails. now the handle lifts up more than the button goes down. Needs manual assistance. Motorbar cleaning head -great. the thin gap for the dust to be sucked up into? not so good. Too narrow, easily clogged by even a small amount of hair which then just limits everything after. Frequent unbloc
With the dyson animal ball 3 there is no attachment to clean under the bed etc. I phoned dyson to see if I could buy and use the ‘flat out head tool’ that originally comes with the multi floor option and they didn’t know and just said to purchase it and see, but it’s not showing as available now.The ball animal 2 came with a low profile cleaning head. That’s what I’m after something low to get under the beds. But I don’t know what will fit or if there are any work arounds like 3rd party attachments or adapters.thanks (Moderation Edit - Tags Added)
