Hi, I would suggest you to use the “Digital Motorbar Cleaner Head” for your carpets. For hardwood floors, the “Fluffy Optic Head” would be the right option.
Hope this helps.
If you struggle with suction, try switching between a few of the heads and the power modes. It can be tricky to get your head around on the newer dyson models. This video should help -
