Gen5 Detect Tool Compatibility List

Hey Fellow Dyson users!

I recently bought myself a Dyson Gen5Detect and wanted to know what tools are compatible or not.

Living in France means the french version seems a little bit out of date and doesn’t list any tool as compatible with the new (for us) Gen5.

It’s my understanding from the google-fu that most of the v15 stuff will/should work.

I’ve also noticed the uk site/usa site does list certain tools as compatible

The tools in question would be

  • Scratch-free dusting brush
  • Extension hose
  • and the pet kit

Hi @Tmouse, 

The CM posted an article back in March which covering the accessories and the stick vacs their compatible with. I’ve linked it below 👇!

Put simply, dyson have two accessory types. Red and Grey button. The majority of those with the Red button are Gen5 compatible. Those with the Grey button aren't.
