Makita Battery adaptation for a cordless Dyson V10

Hello everyone, I saw on a video that the Batteries of the brand makita improve the performance of a cordless vacuum cleaner of the brand Dyson.

I have, so. performed a search for a V10 Motorhead but, to date. without success. Would you know on which website I could find one?

In addition, I would like to know which Makita battery is compatible with my device while guaranteeing a good autonomy and if it is possible to recharge it with the original transformer or I have to buy a Makita charger.

Hi @Swiss_1985,

We would strongly advise against using your Dyson cordless vacuum with non-genuine batteries. As we haven't manufactured these ourselves, we can't confirm that they meet our stringent standards for performance, durability and safety. Using third party parts like this may also void any remaining Dyson guarantee on your machine, meaning any future repairs or replacement parts could be chargeable.

If you think your Dyson cordless vacuum needs a new battery, these are available to order directly from Dyson via our website: https://www.dyson.co.uk/vacuum-cleaners/accessories/replacement-battery

We also have some useful advice on prolonging the lifespan of your battery, and helping to maximise runtime: https://www.dyson.co.uk/support/vacuum-cleaners/cordless/battery-care

I hope this information helps!

Dyson will only ever recommend using their own batteries. They haven’t tested it with anything but, and using one that isn’t might void the guarantee.

Unless someone has tried this, then I doubt you’ll get any other comments. There is a lot of content on YouTube, with battery tech. Maybe try there as well?
