In Auto mode, the on-board sensors will intelligently adjust the settings of the machine according to the air quality.

Activating Auto mode can be done by;

  1. Using the In-App ‘Remote Control’ feature and selecting ‘Auto mode’. Read our ‘In-App remote control’ article for guidance on where this can be found.
  2. Using the physical remote and selecting the ‘Auto mode’ button.
  3. Creating a ‘Schedule’ and selecting ‘Auto mode’ as part of its operation. Read our ‘Scheduling your machine’ article for guidance on where to find this In-App feature.

Air quality: Your machine will pause when the target air quality has been reached, switching on again when the air quality levels drop. While in this paused state, a minimal airflow will be felt. This is caused by the machine’s motor, where it is pulling in air and analysing it for changes.

Airflow speed: The airflow speed will increase until the target air quality target have been reached. This way your purifier won't be constantly running.

Humidifiers

When in Auto humidify mode, your machine's on-board sensors will intelligently adjust the settings according to the humidity of your room.

Your machine will pause when the target humidity has been reached. It will resume when the humidity levels changes.

Heaters

When in Auto heating mode, your machine's on-board sensors will intelligently adjust the settings according the air quality and the temperature level you had set.

If the machine detects a drop in the air quality, the airflow speed will increase until the air quality target has been reached.

If the machine detects a drop below the temperature you had set, the airflow speed will increase until this temperature have been reached.

In the event that the machine detects a drop in the air quality and the temperature, it will increase the airflow speed until the target air quality and temperature have been reached. This way your purifier won't be constantly running.

If you’ve not yet connected your machine to the Dyson App, please refer to our Connecting your Purifiers, Humidifiers and Heaters to the App article.
