Lamp turning on and off by itself

The lamp initially performed admirably, but within a year, I encountered significant issues. It began to switch on and off unpredictably. Dyson's support acknowledged this as a widespread battery problem affecting their lamps. Despite a repair attempt, the malfunction recurred within months. A replacement lamp was provided, but it too failed within a year, coinciding with the warranty's expiration. Dyson declined further repairs or replacements, offering only a modest discount for a new purchase on their website. This level of service is unacceptable, especially for a product costing £500. Moreover, several of my friends have reported similar problems around the 1-2 year mark. Why is Dyson only offering a 2 year warranty on a product they know has issues?Why is Dyson not offering to fix out of curtosy considering it is a known issue?Do Dyson really think people want to spend £500 on a lamp that is know to last about 2-3 years?

Task Lighting no power

My floor standing task light has stopped turning on, checked the fuse which is fine and nothing works, any thoughts would be gratefully received as the Dyson Customer Service helpline don’t seem to be able to help despite three calls of 60 mins waiting, a case number and the promise of a call back in 48hours that was 12 days ago. many thanks Iain

Solarcycle Keeps Switching Off

Hi, I’ve failed to get any help from Dyson on this so hopefully this method will be more successful. While living in Singapore, I bought a Dyson Solarcycle. Soon after using it for the first time, the light would switch off regardless of how I switched it on. I contacted Dyson in Singapore, and they delivered a replacement. While I appreciated the speed of customer service, I did get the impression that this was a known issue as I wasn’t asked for any information except for the serial number. Fast forward 6 month and I moved back to the UK, brining the light with me. For the record, Singapore uses the same plug socket and power supply as the UK. The light worked for a month or so, before behaving in the same way as the previous unit. This was two years ago and I’ve tried every method to try and understand what’s going on. It’s not the lights location as I’ve moved it to different room. I’ve covered up the light sensors and even shined a torch into the sensor but had the same results.Wh

Task Lighting - Power Issue

I’ve got a floor standing morph light that has started malfunctioning. When I turn it on it goes out after 5 seconds. Doesn’t matter if its is turned on manually or with the app it turns itself off. I reported this to dyson a few months ago and got some help - basically it is caused by static and needs to be wiped with a cloth. It seemed to work but is now switching itself off again. Obviously a task light that switches off after 5 seconds is not much use. Is this a common/knwon problem and is there a solution that works?Thanks LWA
