Feature Request: SolarCycle Lamp auto-on when power detected (light switch support)

I would like to plug this into a switched outlet, so it can be turned on and off with a light switch on the wall. Unfortunately the lamp does not power on when it is plugged into a switched outlet that gets switched on. It always requires a manual tap of the power button or a command via app/bluetooth. If possible to address in a firmware update, please make it so.This would also enable people to plug a lamp into a smart outlet, so they can configure it to work with Apple HomeKit.

Dyson Solarcycle Light Power pack

Despite repeated failed attempts to get thru to the technical support I am now resorting to this method. What is Dyson doing to sort the supply of Power Pack Part no. 969668-01. I have waited and waited now for over 2 months for it to be available again which means there must be huge back log of latent demand for replace a faulty product supply…….Any one else have a failed pack and waiting ?!?! Are there any alternatives that anyone has tried ?!? ANYONE similar experience ?!

Lightcycle PSU 969668-01

When will Dyson respond to the world wide shortage of the Lightcycle PSU replacements? There is a known fault with the Lightcycle turning itself off and it’s been reported by many that it appears to be due to faulty PSU’s. The only problem is you cant find a PSU anywhere. We’ve spent good money on what is supposed to be a quality product. I expected better from Dyson.

LightCycle Debacle - A Year without Resolution

LightCycle Light nightmare is ongoing with no resolution in sight. Let me begin by saying that I have been a Dyson customer for decades, and I have been thrilled with my Dyson vacuums and fan. Based on my positive experience with the brand, my son invested in 2 of the LightCycle desk lights. One works as intended. The other doesn’t. Never did, actually. The defective light was sent back to Dyson per instructions from customer service. Dyson sent a replacement, but it was a different light with different dimensions that were not suitable for the intended use in the studio. The replacement was shipped back to Dyson per instructions. Dyson promised an inkind replacement. That was a year ago. No refund. No product. No communication from or with customer service, for once the product at issue is identified, the call dies through disconnect or neglect. Dyson can and should resolve this matter immediately. If the light is no longer available, then simply acknowledge that and refund the money

Great Product - hours on phone

Hi - I purchased 2 desk lamps on May 13th and received only 1 of them a week later. I have literally spent hours on the phone - called 7 times - to try to get a resolution. Although I did not choose the shipping method, I have had to spend my valuable time following up because the Customer service does not do what they say they will do. I never received an email status - just silence. Finally, I asked for a manager and she “says” I will receive a refund for the 2nd unit within 7-10 days. “I’m holding my breath”. What stinks is that I love the lamp I received - I just now need another one for my wife’s nightstand, but I am afraid to order again due to this recent experience.

How can I get help with my Dyson light in Ireland?

Hi allI’ve got a Dyson replacement light in April. The replacement didn’t work, so I’ve returned it following Dysons instructions. Two months later, after multiple calls today when I called again to check the progress, the agent told me the number is incorrect. I need to contact their business account support I told him that I’ve been using 014757109 for all the calls and always been told the issue will be addressed within two to three days. I’ve asked him to check with someone else and the Dyson agent decided to hang up on me. this is getting ridiculous. The service is so bad and I’m looking for another way to get this resolved. Solarcycle Morph Floorlight how to access "Boost" mode

Good evening to the community, First time poster but long time lurker on here! I'm wondering if someone could give me some direction with my Solarcycle Morph Floor Light, I've seen in a few publications from Dyson that the lights feature a "boost" mode but for the life of me I've never been able to find it? Where is this option hiding? As I've looked all over the application to find it! Secondly I'm wondering if there are any firmware release notes for the light as nothing in the year I've had it seems to have been released, I notice firmware changelogs are released for the 360 and the 360 Vis Nav! USB-C port dysfunctional on Morph light w/ MagSafe charger

I have a Dyson Solarcycle Morph desk light, and while the lighting functions well, the USB-C port on the unit does not work with my Apple MagSafe iPhone charger.The MagSafe charger itself is not the problem as it charges my phone when plugged into other USB-C ports or a USB-C electrical plug adapter.Strangely, the USB-C port on the light *does* charge my phone when I use a Lightning to USB-C cable, just not when using the MagSafe charger.I’d like to know whether this is a known problem with this light, and whether there is a fix. Tech support over the phone was of no help.

Morph light turns on and off spontaneously

I’ve seen a few discussions on here now about the morph light turning self ooff or on spontaneously. My ought is 3 years old, just out of warranty and also does this. I have deactivated the motion sensor as I want to be in control of the light. However, this is what happens.I turn light on, it will turn itself off after between 10-30 seconds Light is off, and it will turn itself on, even in broad day light.I have been in contact with WhatsApp support since Oct 10th to no avail. Yesterday, I spoke to support line and wa sold they can't help me as it is out of warranty. I was told to email resolution@dyson.co.uk, but I get a bounce back from that address, so the message is undeliverable. I must say that for a £500 light that is supposed to provide light for 60 years to stop working after 3 years and to have to stately for support since Oct 10th is really poor service. Today I finally managed to speak to someone who arranged a repair for me for £99. That person was very helpful, howev

light always turns off when switching mode after wake up mode completed

I recently bought a Solarcycle Morph Floor lamp, and have been using the Wake-up mode for a while, I noticed after the 30 mins Wake-up mode is completed when the light reaches its maximum setting (in my case I use default), it stays on the max wake up mode (default) for another 30 mins or so, then it would automatically switch to the previous light mode, for example the mode I used the night before I turned it off,so during that extra 30 mins window in between, the status on the app shows ‘Manual’, same as during the Wake-up mode in progress, but during that period, if I manually press any other light mode button on the app, such as ‘Synchronized’ or ‘Relax’ to manually switch to another mode, every single time the light just powers off instead of switching over smoothly…I always have to turn it on again, then everything still works fine after that. I realised it is not a random event due to bluetooth connection since this happens every time when i do that, the location access is also

Lamp turning on and off by itself

The lamp initially performed admirably, but within a year, I encountered significant issues. It began to switch on and off unpredictably. Despite a repair attempt, the malfunction recurred within months. A replacement lamp was provided, but it too failed within a year, coinciding with the warranty's expiration. Dyson declined further repairs or replacements, offering only a modest discount for a new purchase on their website. This level of service is unacceptable, especially for a product costing £500. Moreover, several of my friends have reported similar problems around the 1-2 year mark. Why is Dyson only offering a 2 year warranty on a product they know has issues?Why is Dyson not offering to fix out of curtosy?Do Dyson really think people want to spend £500 on a lamp that is know to last about 2-3 years?

Task Lighting no power

My floor standing task light has stopped turning on, checked the fuse which is fine and nothing works, any thoughts would be gratefully received as the Dyson Customer Service helpline don’t seem to be able to help despite three calls of 60 mins waiting, a case number and the promise of a call back in 48hours that was 12 days ago. many thanks Iain

I have bought a total of five morph lights. And four of them have started turning off by themselves after 5 seconds. It is very annoying. I have tried to wipe them off with a cloth to remove the static, but this method does not work. Any permanent solutions to resolving this very annoying problem?

Solarcycle Keeps Switching Off

Hi, I’ve failed to get any help from Dyson on this so hopefully this method will be more successful. While living in Singapore, I bought a Dyson Solarcycle. Soon after using it for the first time, the light would switch off regardless of how I switched it on. I contacted Dyson in Singapore, and they delivered a replacement. While I appreciated the speed of customer service, I did get the impression that this was a known issue as I wasn’t asked for any information except for the serial number. Fast forward 6 month and I moved back to the UK, brining the light with me. For the record, Singapore uses the same plug socket and power supply as the UK. The light worked for a month or so, before behaving in the same way as the previous unit. This was two years ago and I’ve tried every method to try and understand what’s going on. It’s not the lights location as I’ve moved it to different room. I’ve covered up the light sensors and even shined a torch into the sensor but had the same results.Wh

Just a suggestion, since the head on Solarcycle Morph is rotatable, I’d love to see a light diffuser accessory that attach to the head magmatically. This would make it a perfect video call “ring” light.

Solarcycle task light app settings issue - No Connection

I have just gotten the Solarcycle Task Light and set it up, and I am having an issue with the app. In the MyDyson app on the 'Your light's configuration page' I always see a 'Connection failed' message in the 'Daylight' and 'Age adjust' sections (see images below). Tapping 'Retry' does nothing but re-display this message. Bluetooth on my phone is turned on, and confirmed to be activated on the light (hold motion button down until the main light flashes twice). This is despite the light actually adjusting the brightness and color throughout the day, based on my set location, so it looks like it's working even though the app tells me there's no connection. I'm on an Android phone (Samsung A21) with the most current/updated app. It doesn't matter if the light is powered on or off, the app always displays this message. Nor does it matter if the light is set to manual or synchronized mode. I have removed and added it back to my account with the same issue always recurring; I am able to set

Dyson Lightcycle desk Light - Under Warranty Exchange

Hi AllI have a Dyson Lightcycle desk light that has a faulty motion sensor. I was advised by the Dyson Customer Service team that the unit will be replaced under warranty. But the issue is I’ve been advised that there is a stock shortage of the Dyson Lightcycle Desk Lamp (Australian model) and they are no longer receiving any new stock in Australia. I have an active repair case on this.Would anyone know whether production has stopped on these lights in Australia? And who can I escalate this with within Dyson (beyond the customer service team) to have a look at my specific case to see if they can obtain a replacement unit on this?

Hi. I already set the sleep mode for light cycle task light via app. The sleep mode doesn't work unless I turn the light off and on and it work within the sleep time range. The time interface got two buttons, one from the top right is Reset and top left is Done. What’s the two buttons for? how to set?

Task Lighting - Power Issue

I’ve got a floor standing morph light that has started malfunctioning. When I turn it on it goes out after 5 seconds. Doesn’t matter if its is turned on manually or with the app it turns itself off. I reported this to dyson a few months ago and got some help - basically it is caused by static and needs to be wiped with a cloth. It seemed to work but is now switching itself off again. Obviously a task light that switches off after 5 seconds is not much use. Is this a common/knwon problem and is there a solution that works?Thanks LWA
