Filling the need for a convenient hand dryer in the kitchen | Dyson Community
Skip to main content

In the home, the greatest need for a reliable hand dryer is typically in the kitchen. This is because of the frequency with which hands become contaminated with oil, flour, mixtures, etc, or because of hygiene requirements. It is not uncommon for the towel at the kitchen sink to become quickly saturated.

It would be very useful to have a hand dryer at the kitchen sink. Locating “wings” on the faucet would be most convenient. Being mounted on the sink, drips of water would not fall on the floor.

The current Dyson tap mounted dryers are excellent, but are paired with taps that are intended to deliver hand-wash water. In the kitchen, the faucet should be available for a much wider range of duties.

Please create a tap-mounted dryer that can work with a normal kitchen sink faucet!

Thanks

Nic

Hi @Arbuthnott,

Welcome to the Dyson Community, and thanks for taking the time to share your feedback.

The current Dyson Airblade™️ Wash+Dry has primarily been engineered for use in commercial washrooms and food preparation facilities - although we do know of customers installing Dyson Airblade™️ hand dryers in their homes!

Like you’ve said, the Dyson Airblade™️ Wash+Dry is intended for hand washing and drying, and not for washing dishes, filling pans with cooking water etc in a domestic kitchen.

Here at Dyson, there’s always something exciting around the corner. We can’t discuss any future inventions our engineers may or may not be working on, but keep an eye on the Dyson Community for our latest news and launches!
