Background. We bought a Dyson cordless eight years ago now. It has never worked properly (i.e inefficient and just not very good); and, owing to my illness (I suffered a serious stroke), we never pursued the question off returning it - we had other priorities. We have telephoned the published ‘help’ numbers and we have approached Dyson representatives at ‘publicity stalls’ in local shopping centres. One such rep gave me a new telephone number but that was no help at all - I think no-one answered. So it was easier for my wife to continue using a defective machine while I was in and out of hospital, than throw away something which only worked after a fashion.
What we want. We shall be buying a new vacuum soon but will not be considering a Dyson unless Dyson responds promptly and helps sort our problem out. In the meantime, the vacuum needs a complete service and a replacement missing item which slots into the top - it’s shaped a bit like an ice cream cone and is of a similar size. If the (admittedy elderly) machine can be made to work adequately, we’ll keep it as a spare.
The equipment model. The name ‘Dyson V6 fluffy+’ is stuck on the suction tube. A label stuck on the underside of the machine says: ‘Li-ion, Rechargeable battery pack for Dyson DC62, 21.6V 3000mAh 64.8Wh.’
Please can anyone help?
