My canister is stuck on my V14 cordless vacuum. No visible blockages, please help! | Dyson Community

Hello!

The canister of my V14 Cordless Dyson Vacuum is stuck. I have taken it apart, checked for any blockages (which there were none), and cleaned everything I could reach. 

The red latch works, but the canister seems to be get stuck despite being to pull the latch. I will admit, this started after I vacuumed baking soda out of my carpet. 

Any ideas?

Sorry to hear you’re having difficulty with your machine, but this should be something we can help you resolve. To help us figure out the cause, please can you let us know:

  • Which model of Dyson vacuum do you own? If you have SV14, this is likely to be a Dyson V11™️ vacuum. You’re welcome to share a pic if you’re not sure.
  • Are you able to describe how the bin is stuck - do you mean the bin base is jammed shut? Or the bin won’t slide along the bin runner? Some more information on the issue would be very useful.
