Switch barrels on an air wrap?

Hi there,

I bought my wife an Air Wrap for her birthday. Being fairly uneducated on these products, I bought the ‘long barrel’ version from John Lewis which she didn’t actually need. 30 days have passed since my purchase and John Lewis won’t exchange or return. 

I saw that there are replacement attachments you can buy, so is it as simple as buying the shorter barrel attachments and replacing them?

Any help is greatly appreciated!!
