firstly thanks for the community such a great place to get info.

I am on my second dyson handheld cordless vacuum and I don’t know if it’s me or the hoover but we are falling out of love. 
 

I really want to know how long you expect one of these to work to its full Potential?  we have no issues with battery life. If just feels like it’s always getting clogged and needs to be emptied and suction is good again but then when we next use it we have to empty again and it feels like hard work.

I had my last one for three years and use it daily mostly on wooden floors, I don’t know if 3 years is an average time or should I be expecting more ?  Any tips or hints would be very much appreciated. 
 

I regularly clean the filter and the floor head.
