While it doesn’t happen 100% of the time, when in auto mode my Dyson Purifier HEPA Cool™ Formaldehyde TP09 doesn’t go back to the default/idle mode when the air quality has been treated. Despite all metrics showing as green/good, it still runs at level 10 speed. It has also started making whirring noises when on.

@Evelina The first thing I’d check: Usually the whistle/whirring noise will be due to a filter being seated in-correctly. It will be useful to remove it, then re-place it.

Use the guide in the instruction manual - PDF link:

Hi Adam,

The sound is not as much of a concern as the auto setting. How can the issue with the auto mode be fixed?

Best,

Eve

I have the same issue - even if I put the machine into manual mode the fan is on a high and loud setting. Is there a fix or firmware update for this?
