I have just unpacked and set up my brand new machine. It has successfully connected to wifi. Says place on dock, it is on dock, battery not connected, robot temperature too high. It won’t even start. Software updates fail. Shattered!  What am I missing?

Nothing. I set mine up easterlies today. Switch straight on. No issues detected. Yours is likely faulty out of the box. Call for replacement.

I had this exact issue with a brand new vis nav which dyson gave me to replace a dodgy heurist as they don’t stock the heurist anymore.

I’m pretty sure the issue is firmware related.

I skipped doing the mapping as I had to go out and when I got back the app was saying there was a hardware error, I was getting battery cell overheat and robot overheated warnings. 5 restarts later and its working perfectly fine.
