Vis Nav - Website says v005, but download is 003? | Dyson Community

I recently got a Vis Nav and set it up, and observed it mostly working. The mapping took a few tries and honestly looks skewed/rotated vs where it cleans and reports. Definitely has had some struggles getting back to the dock, and I’ll see it get stuck in a loop just backing up and going forward around an obstacle over and over and over again, presumably it would do this until it ran out of battery.

I got this robot as a replacement for my Neato, and it seems promising, with active development and such from Dyson. The UK site also claims software updates through at least Dec 2031, which is a nice piece of mind.

Anyway, with some of the odd behaviors I noticed, I was anxious to try out the newest software. My robot is on v003. As I understand it, v004 came out about 6 months ago, and v005 was less than a week ago.

I can see v005 on the software updates page for the robot...

https://www.dyson.com/support/vacuum-cleaners/robots/360-vis-nav/software-updates

but when I click the link to download it, the file it wants to download is for v003. https://ota-firmware.cp.dyson.com/277/WF00/RB03PR.01.08.003.4123/RB03PR.01.08.003.4123.BIN

Is that a bug in the website? I noticed the Dyson UK website is doing it too.

Links have not been updated yet for whatever reason. All websites have a wrong link atm and auto update does nothing.

They’ve updated the links to the latest update. My robot also updated itself automatically this morning.

Which region. At least germany is still broken.

Looks like US is still using the older link as well. Maybe they’re releasing it by country or something.

Mine updated this morning; east coast USA

Updated yesterday

it also includes the improvements of the canceld update - or at least the improved auto suction :

Mine updated this morning. to RB03PR.01.08.005.4317

before it was on RB03PR.01.08.003.4123

(germany)

Mine is still on 003, but I suspect now that it’s right on the site, the updates will start filtering down to the machines.

@frickhelm, what did you mean by a canceled update?

There was an update that Dyson sent out but apparently it was buggy and caused a lot of issues so they forced a rollback to the older software. However this was before I had my robot so I’m not too familiar on the issue.
