I have an Airwrap purchased for a tidy sum of £450 in March 2021.

I’ve called and messaged customer service today to ask for a service on my machine, essentially the airwrap keeps cutting out, I remove the filter, clean it, put it back on and carry on.
I don’t believe it is a “repair” issue, I think the unit just needs a service, which I know from my hairdresser friends this is something that they offer, reluctantly, but it is possible.
Only to be told it that it will cost me “£99 GBP” for a “repair” 
My hair is short, it takes me approximately 8 minutes to dry my hair, 2/3 times a week, it’s hardly been put through its paces in the time that I’ve had it, I’m now expected to fork out a further £100?
Does anyone on here have any experience with successful getting an airwrap serviced? Or a provider that can do it? £100 seems like extortion for something that was really expensive in the first place. I like my airwrap but not enough to be spending another £100 on it
