My straighteners are now 8 months outwith warranty, Dyson have advised me that they are non-repairable. They won't hold a charge for more than 5 minutes. Dyson have offered me a 25% discount on a new set or £99 for a refurbished set. I'm so disappointed that they aren't standing behind their product and that they feel less than 3 years is an acceptable lifetime for such an expensive item. This appears to be a well reported and common issue with the straightners. I will not spend another penny on any Dyson products.
I’m having exactly the same problem with no apparent reason for this. It’s just unbelievable that such an expensive product has such a short shelf life. Needs to go to press
I'm annoyed. I would like to know why dyson have discontinued the carrole straightners, or should we guess its because the batteries are useless. Mine will not charge and so I called them, expecting to be able to send them off to get fixed, to find out they no longer offer this service and I can basically have 25% off a new pair. I don't want a new pair, apart from the battery Mine are perfectly fine. What are we supposed to do, just throw £300 straightners away? Its like a money making scheme so you have to buy new ones. I would like dyson to explain why they don't do these anymore and why they don't still offer to repair them, knowing thousands of people still own them? Disgraceful.
