Cyclone V10 motorheads not working | Dyson Community

I’ve been using my Dyson Cyclone V10 vacuum successfully for 4 years … so far have only needed to replace the battery and filter … however, today I got a new problem:

When I connected the fluffy floor brush motorhead to vacuum it didn’t work, everything starts up as normal, but machine stops after the brush turns a few times, then will not restart unless I remove and re-attach the motorhead … but then the same problem: start and stop.  No indicator lights or error codes come on … just three blue lights indicating a fully charged battery.  When I attached non-motorized heads, the vacuum functioned as normal with the usual power and suction.

At first I thought it there must be something caught up in the brush, so I disassembled the motorhead and cleaned out all the hair that I found tightly wrapped around the brush and other parts of the motorhead.  After reassembling and attaching the cleaned motorhead, the same problem continued.

Then, I tried attaching another motorhead and discovered that all three of my motor heads have the same problem, including one that I have never used before: start up, make one or two rotations, then machine stops running, with no trouble indicator lights or error codes.

I have no more ideas how to troubleshoot and find the cause of this problem.

Any assistance would be helpful.  Thank you
