New v10 absolute stalling (Switching on/off)

Just opened our brand new v10 absolute and charged it fully.  Lots of fun until half way through our first carpet, the and head seemed to stall - it lost power.  And it’s doing it a lot.  Either slows right down or  stops and you have to lift it from the floor to get it spinning again.  Seems better after emptying the dust chamber although it was only about 1/3 full at the most.  It’s fine on hard floors.  Any ideas?

Maybe the carpet pile is to long or thick for the brush to spin. Have you switch power modes to see if that helps? 😃

Nailed it. As its only doing it on carpet, Its either an underpowered or overpowered problem. If switching modes doesn’t help, speak to Dyson. Maybe they replace it with a new more powerful model?

Hi @Rolllo

Thank you for raising this with us.

Since the machine is brand new this is not one of the issues you should be experiencing.
Have you tried changing the power mode of your machine to check if there is a drop in power.

Regards,

@Rolllo I had the same issue with a new rug I brought. Had to give up vacuuming it with the large head and use the smaller mortised one on the end of the wand. It cleans still, but take a long while.
