Hi,

I have a dyson V8 animal and my dog ate the charging cable when she was a puppy, so more recently I found a cable that fits, it is not a dyson cable, I’m not sure what it is for.
When I plug it in it lights up to 2 dots and brings it to the full charge of 3.
However when I take it off the charging station to use it, and pull the trigger, nothing happens. Completely dead.

Would there be any way I can know what the problem is? I recently cleaned it and was concerned I might have damaged it but I don’t think that is likely.

Do non dyson charging cables work to charge the dyson?
