Which is the best vacuum / head to use on a very deep pile carpet?

I’d avoid those with rotational/spinning brushbar. They’ll likely get tangled in the thick carpet or stop working altogether. Their Cylinder range come with a duel cleaner heads, which doesn’t usually have a brushbar. Here’s a good example of one in the UK. Dyson Big Ball Multi Floor 2 Vacuum Cleaner | CS Suppliers.

Hi @Hangingwood,

As @George23 has mentioned, manufacturers of carpets with particularly long or delicate pile sometimes suggest vacuuming using a machine without a rotating brush bar, or with a brush control feature so the brush bar can be switched off. This helps avoid causing damage either the carpet or the vacuum. If you’re not sure, the carpet manufacturer will be best placed to advise on the correct cleaning recommendations.

All Dyson upright vacuums in our current range include brush control, so could be a good choice for your needs.
