When we leave for a few weeks should we unplug the battery?

Your Dyson cordless vacuum’s intelligent control software means it will only ever take in enough power to fully recharge, and then to keep itself topped up. It’s been engineered to allow you to leave it on its dock continually between uses, so it’s always fully charged - so you can grab it and go, whenever you need to clean.
If you’re going on vacation for a few weeks, it should be fine to leave it on charge. However if you’d feel more comfortable unplugging it for this period, you’re welcome to do this too.
