The V15 hair screw tool barely removes cat and dog fur from carpets, jackets (even when held taut and flat). I wish I could use the attachment from my V6 mini motorized tool, because that was so much more effective at removing pet fur. This sounds. &@. Qjvrst1ibuv4g4g4adr4qe3qfxenaga Is there an adapter that can connect the V6 mini tool to the V15? I have so many now-useless v6 attachments that are going to end up in the landfill since each revision doesn't fit a previous model. Poor sustainability model
You can buy older version of the tool that will fit V15

it will pick up better actually but won’t have anti tangle feature.
Thank you so much for that link! It's a .uk site, and I can't find that equivalent on the .com site for US. I sent a question to the US site and waiting to hear back. Wish I had 3D printer to convert my V6 accessories! In fact, why doesn't Dyson have adapters so we can continue to use perfectly good older accessories with updated units.
Thank you so much! It seems that the accessories with the red latch are compatible with other models that use the same red connector latch. Apparently the V6 with the gray latch/button/whatever, isn’t compatible with any other model.
That’s not exactly true. All non motorised tools will work and are compatible but motorised tools are different. V12 and Gen5 use different fittings.
UPDATE:
I received the compatible mini motorized tool with the soft brush option, and it's so much better at removing the cat/dog fur from both clothes and my vehicle seats. Blackout, I appreciate your knowledge so much!!!
Glad to hear I could help
Hi
Welcome to the Dyson Community!
We’re surprised to hear you were disappointed with the performance of the Hair screw tool. It should offer the same functionality and pickup performance as our previous generations of Mini motorised head, but with the additional benefit of a conical brush bar which unwraps and releases hair tangles as it vacuums.
We’ve received a lot of great feedback on this particular tool from other Dyson owners, but we’re glad
