2 days into my Dyson V8 ownership and a small brush part has fallen off the head? What is its function? Should I try super glue?

Thanks. I got in touch with dyson support they advised explicitly to not use super glue; and a replacement moto bar head has been ordered / dispatched with up to a 4 week eta on parts availability
they said it may scratch my wood floors too so I can use my soft head roller for that in the meantime I guess
