Why is the customer service so terrible and appaling? | Dyson Community

After deciding to buy a Dyson, the most expensive product on the market, my order was ‘despatched’. 

since then, it hasn’t arrived. Apparently there was one letter wrong in the postcode in the initial order. 

I called customers services. 

They promised an email or call back within the hour. it didn’t happen 

Called 4 more times. 

Tried the chatbot. 

Tried talking to a real person on chat. 

Called again. 

 

I have been told different things each time by different people. 

THREE TIMES the phoneline just went dead, i assume they hung up on me. 

I requested in writing what would happen. 

AGAIN THE PHONELINE WENT DEAD. 

i’m writing here in desperation, trying to get this fixed. 

REALLY WISH i’d just bought that Shark vacuum on Amazon for considerably less as their customer service is second to none.

This is now sorted; was painful at first but customer services reached out and all was arranged and the Dyson works well. Thanks Jack, Pat and team


I cannot believe that a firm that charges so much has such dreadful customer care. I tried to buy something. The link to PayPal wouldl not work. I phoned customer service and listened to nearly 2 minutes of details about being a business customer.  The first menu choice should be business or not business. Then I got through the lady kept repeating that she would ‘see if she could help, but if I wanted to make a credit card purchase ...’ I had to be rude to make her stop referring to credit card purchases. Then she had to consult someone to see if she could help on a PayPal purchase. The problem was the web site not PayPal. Of course she could not help. Pathetic. One is always encouraged to deal with the manufacturer - stuff that. I’m off to Currys.
