I purchased a refurbished air purifier and humidifier in October; in December, despite having had no issues until then and my not changing anything about how I was using it (I had cleaned the filter according to the directions a few weeks prior but it had been working fine since then) the machine stopped working and the exclamation point error message appeared on the screen.
I tried for days to figure out what was going on--I followed both the self-guided directions provided on the Dyson website and suffered through long, drawn-out interactions with customer support (where there is no record of previous customer support interactions apparently?), all to no avail. I was told I needed to ship the machine back for service--but ONLY via UPS. UPS stores in Chicago are notoriously unreliable and I do not have the time nor the transportation to go out to the suburbs to deal with this issue.
Hence, I spent hundreds of dollars on a machine that broke for no discernible reason after a surprisingly short amount of time and Dyson could not offer me anything beyond basically a shrug and an untenable repair option, so I am stuck with a non-functioning product.
