Incorrect VOC values?

Hello everyone,

I bought a Dyson Humidify Purifier + Cool a month ago. The appliance worked perfectly for a month.
From time to time, the "VOC value" rose into the yellow medium range due to disinfectant used in the home. 

In the meantime, the value is now always in the yellow range. As soon as you open the windows and ventilate the bedroom, the value drops back into the green good range.

As soon as you close the windows again, this value rises back into the orange range.

I cleaned all the carpets in the room, bed linen and so on as a test - the situation remains the same.
I have also vacuumed the sensors, still the same.

However, when I switch the device off + unplug it and then plug it in again & let it run, the value that was yellow before I unplugged it is now green & no longer increases.

Is the device defective? Or what could be the reason?
