PM 2.5 and 10 sensor has a unusual high reading in sudden

We have a Dyson air purifier at the bedroom, which had some unusual high readings from PM 2.5 and PM 10 sensors in the last couple of days. The readings had sudden increases, once in the evening and another time in the early morning, both were from numbers around 10 to over 150 within 30 minutes, and kept in a high value for a few hours. There was no changes in the environment.

Could this be a sensor issue?

Hi @tangyingjie , thanks for your post. Spikes in the PM sensors can be caused by air fresheners/cleaning agents, essential oils, and even detected perfumes. If neither have been used during the times the readings have increased, I do recommend reaching out to our online support team for further troubleshooting assistance.
