tp10 gen 1 combi filter cleaning question

so i took my combi filters out of the dyson and used my dyson vacuum to clean the outside of it. now it doesnt seem to clean everything out of the air as well as it used to. did i ruin my filters?

@strongbad Thanks for your post. It’s sometimes ok to lightly vacuum or dust the filters, but even still, they are designed to be replaced at regular intervals - the reason being: They suction up particles much finer than dust or anything your eye can see. Usually the lifespan is six months to one year.
