Thanks for the info 👍

However I'm not sure if I want to replace the main body over a failing sponge...

Hello! What did you end up doing?? This is happening to mine as well. Thanks!

It looks like it’s part of the main body. I wouldn’t think this part can be brought separately.

It’s showing as out of stock now. Dyson might have stock if you call.

I’ve looked on the link you’ve sent - https://www.dyson.com/spare-parts/vacuum-cleaners/cordless/cyclone-v10/small-bin. I can see filter and the body for purchase. Try expanding the Filter & All other spare parts sub sections.

Do you mean the HEPA filter or black mesh sponge?

I'm afraid replacing HEPA filter will not solve my issue.

or message dyson to get a new trigger part and filter.

I looked at the link you provided:

And yes, I suspected, it is not listed. Maybe due to the fact it is not user replaceable.

I see now! Thanks. The sponge/filling is also perforated on mine. I’ve never see anything pull into my filter tho. I’d start off by buying a new filter and seeing if that fixed it.

The black mesh sponge doesn't seem to be user replaceable.

It is located underneath the HEPA filter which is user replaceable.

Maybe a new filter is needed? They do recommend replacing these after prolonged use.

I feel so dumb! I’m looking at my stick, trying to work out what the black mesh sponge is?
