I have a Dyson V12 that is flashing all kinds of different colors. First it was just blue now I am getting Red some of the time. When the battery is out of the unit and I press the battery plunger the battery shows 3 blue bars. When I install the battery and pull the trigger I was getting get an unlimited number of blue flashes. I quit counting after 30.  Now I get 1 RED flashing light then it switches to Blue and goes on forever. The only way to get the battery to stop flashing is to plug it back into the charger out of the unit.

I ordered a replacement battery and it did not fix the issue so I know its not the battery and must be something inside the unit. Can anyone help me with this?

Having same issue with v8. Installed new battery. Worked fine until I tightened screws then back to not working and flashing blue and red. Reinstalled and got same results. Thinking bad battery so got replacement. Same results. Seemed to work ok without screws (odd yes) but eventually back to same problem. Pushing switch on battery itself, you can hear contact close and blue light only comes on do that seems fine. Added several thicknesses of tape to battery switch contact point thinking trigger may not have been depressing battery switch far enough but that’s not it. 
 

very frustrating. These are too expensive to be 2 years and into the trash. Any ideas or direction appreciated
