I’ve had my Gen5detect for nearly a year and use it regularly.  I cleaned the filter about a month into owning it and then forgot about it expecting to be notified by the alert when it was time.  I just cleaned it last night for the second time.

In all that time, I have not seen the notification.  I confirmed that alerts are on in the menu.  Is there something wrong with my unit or does it really not need the filter to be cleaned for that long?  The manual specifies monthly cleaning.
