Hi everyone,
I received a new Dyson V15 Detect Absolute today as a replacement for a defective V15 I had sent back. Right out of the box the wand that connects to the new built-in dusting and crevice tool is not locking into place. The button remains depressed and if I lift the vacuum up, the wand will just slide off. I’ve use a bit of force to try and engage it but I don’t want to break anything.
Is there any trick to doing this? There was no noticeable obstructions and I didn’t see any damage to the clips inside the wand.
I’ve already called customer support but they were useless in troubleshooting besides acknowledging the issue. They suggested a replacement wand - but it’s out of stock - so I’m basically left without a working vacuum until the wand is back in stock. Could be several weeks, and I’ve already been waiting a month for the replacement for my original defective vacuum.
Any help would be appreciated.
Best regards,
B
