Has anyone actually had their dyson purifier and humidifier get up to 70%? Ours doesn’t go past 45% we’ve tried many of the tricks in the community.

Hey there
This is a great question. The machine can reach 70% humidity, but getting to this target depends on environmental conditions like the size and ventilation of the room, and the relative humidity of the surrounding air. Even when the machine is working properly, it can naturally be harder to reach a target humidity if the air is relatively dry to begin with, if it’s an “open” environment where non-humidified air is flowing in, etc. If you’re using your unit in a larger living space, for example, it can naturally make it more difficult to achieve a higher humidity level. Have you had any success getting part 45% in a smaller, enclosed space such as a bedroom?
Hi
As the saying goes, Season greetings!
Surprisingly, you are not the first to ask this question. Some I helped answer and some the Dyson team provided solutions to.
Without going into a vast amount of detail,

We use it in our bedroom. Door closed. We bought it hoping to replace a standard bedside humidifier as winter is so dry in our area. Dry eyes, dry skin, congestion from nasal passages being dried out. We’ve spent hours on the phone with customer service over the past year and have had two replacement units sent to us. This one at least usually goes through a tank a week, although last time we filled it was two nights with no drop in water. Readjusted and seems to be working again, who knows what was wrong as this thing is so temperamental.
Just wondering if our expectations of using this as a humidifier was unrealistic or if it actually should humidify. At this point we’ve come to grips with the fact we bought and extremely expensive fan and hope it is at least purifying the air!
